Astronaut Touches Down at BlueTech Week
It's official. Dr. Jessica Meir, SIO alumna and NASA Astronaut, will provide the keynote presentation to kick-off BlueTech Week.
Jessica's remarks are to be delivered on Tuesday, Nov 7th at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, her alma mater, at the start of a 1-day event embedded within BlueTech Week focused on the intersection of the Blue Economy and the Space Economy.
The event kicks off the public portion of a week-long series of events in San Diego. BlueTech Week is anticipated to attract 450+ attendees over the course of 7 events, all focused on Promoting BlueTech.
The topic of sea and space with the onset of cube-sats and satellite constellations, and powerful intelligence that support the internet-of-things aboard vessels and new ways of monitoring and protecting maritime domain activities is a growing area of opportunity. Join us to explore the latest innovations that merge the Blue Economy with the Space Economy, and engage in dialogue with leading practitioners and space-age networking.
This event is co-sponsored and hosted by Scripps Institution of Oceanography.
